I don’t get to send a list. I have to buy all of it myself. My district doesn’t even supply me with computer paper for my 40 IEPs a year I have to write 😩
We must be coworkers. lol.
We can. I usually just ask for a couple of very specific things I need and parents buy from the mainstream grade level list. I try my best to just make it work.
I send out a list to my students but have back up supplies for my students who can’t afford them. I am at a title 1 school. I ask for the basics we also as a school are adopted by the church next door who does a big school supply drive for us every year.
yes...but I have to put an asterisk at the bottom of the page that says
*donations are completely voluntary. should you be unable to donate your child will not go without these items.
Same! I provide all supplies for my students. Their classroom teacher sends a list and shares with me.
No list goes home. We buy all the supplies for the students.
I send out an email to the entire staff & offer to give a loving home to all last year's left over supplies (specifically tissues, wipes & ziplock bags) during the PD days leading up to Open House.....
I don’t but my district provides basic supplies and we have a nice budget for specific supplies like fidgets and books. With that said I still buy things like folders and notebooks because they’re cheaper in stores my district won’t order from.
We’re allowed to ask families for donations, but not send out a mandated list
