I haven't interviewed recently, wouldn't surprise me if that was the case though. AI is being incorporated in some way, shape or form into every company. It makes sense that they're starting to prefer/require experience with it, even if it seems a little premature given it's only really been on the scene for a handful of years.

It just blows my mind. My job area would crumble if we went full or mostly AI
I would find that plausible. I don't think they mean AI experience in the sense of being certified in machine learning, but more like not being totally clueless when it comes to prompting an AI tool. I think what hiring managers don't want to see is someone who knows nothing about AI, or is openly resistant to it. Any AI skeptics out there should probably keep that quiet when interviewing for jobs these days.

According to them they want folks to be IN DEPTH with AI

They are rolling it out at my company and mentioned it would be helpful to learn

I guess I’m getting old. I think it’s pointless

My company is emphasizing AI a lot more now so most likely

Gross. Mine is too they literally wanting us using it DAILY
I think it depends on the role. What type of AI experience were they requiring?
