I have lofty dreams of being a morning person, but I'm a perpetual night owl. Even if I try to go to bed by 10, I'm still scrolling on my phone until one or two in the morning.

I feel this. I dream of being a 5am girly but in reality I’ll always be an 8am person
Night owl since I was very young. I would be going over things later at night and sending them back first before they are even awake, hahah. What I do is get things ready in advance just so I have my work day to reply to emails and see what I have to get done hehe. Have you tried to work ahead like that?

I love that approach. I feel like I waste my nights scrolling instead of doing something productive like that LOL. Definitely need to try getting things set up ahead of time.

I’m a night owl!
Luckily my work is results based so we can work whenever and wherever we want to. I usually have a slow morning and log on around 10 ish and then work until about 6 or so. Sometimes if I’ve finished my work I just log off! It’s lovely

That sounds ideal! I love the idea of working when you’re most productive and having the flexibility to log off once you’re done.
Night owl for sure! I'm up until midnight every night. I don't come into the office until 9 am. I also work late. People see that Im still working when they leave and I make sure they see that I'm still working late. I do schedule some emails to send in the morning. If there is an earlier meeting I am there for it but don't come in earlier the rest of the days. I have great results every year so it's never been an issue. Emails start coming in by 6 am because of partners in other time zones. I feel like I only get time for work that requires uninterrupted thought after 5 pm. Having kids also seems to come with more leeway.

That sounds like a great way to balance things! I love how you own your schedule and make the most of those late-night focus hours. It’s impressive how you stay on top of early meetings too. Props to you for making it work and still crushing those results!

I’m 2 time zones behind most of my team, so everyone has already had a start to their day by the time I log on. I think it’s kind of nice because I get overwhelmed when hit by emails one by one. Since I log on late, most everyone’s requests are already in my inbox and I’m able to prioritize my day all at once rather than constantly adjust for a new ask
