When I hear things like this I don't know whether to think it's clever or just depressing. The idea that someone is using a dating app, and someone in turn might be using them to network for a job, is just grim. It's like some dark comedy or something, but I'm willing to believe it's real life. What a world we've made for ourselves.

Your reaction was similar to mine. According to the article, some people made successful connections and I thought they were really thinking out of the box. Then I also thought about what led them there. And I don’t think I could convince my wife that I use the app to job hunt.

This feels so dystopian! I totally get the job market is brutal, and I think there’s value to expand your network.
But using a dating app feels so sad. Rather than focusing on real, meaningful connections with people, they’re using it to get ahead. Feels crazy!
