Let’s start that divide 🎊 in case we are running short of division on religion and caste!!

What is “north” in your point of view ? You think Mumbai is in the north or south? What about Kolkata ? What about Nagaland ? Is that north for this comparison ? Did you know Sikkim is highest when it comes to HDI?
You think people from Himachal are rude ? You think Chennai is cleaner than Chandigarh? Did you know that Gurgaon has the highest HDI in the entire country when it comes to cities ? Punjab and Haryana rank above Telangana and Karnataka on development metrics
What about business metrics ? What states have the most startups ? Or your point of reference is basically the American CEOs of Indian origin ?
Let’s be specific, much easier to draw lines as north and south if you are ignoring the massive diversity between states, cities. As a “north indian” is as correct as saying “as an African” and go on to talk about Nigeria. Making a data based argument is underrated
Not really sure whether CEO and leadership positions hold up in India for South Indians. I do not know the situation now, but growing up, I thought North Indians were more successful in businesses , and were in high profile government positions.
Bhai band karo north vs south….I can’t believe we still have these things in our heads 😖😖

N̶o̶r̶t̶h̶ Indian from the North. There, fixed it for ya. There’s only one India - the union of all states, faiths, castes, creed, and languages.
Generally noticed that majority of the high profile CEOs and business leaders in western world, and Indian research organizations are dominated by southern people. Not sure about the business leaders in India though, except maybe companies like tcs or infosys or one of the IT services firms.
As a South Indian who’s spent time in the North, I don’t think the broad generalization is valid.
“It is possible” that there are more remote regions in central India or in the northeast where development may have been a tad slower. But in general, in towns and cities, the facilities are similar, the access to quality education is similar, people’s ambitions and desires are similar and their success and failures are similar.
I do not think any one region is better or worse in any significant way than the others.
Tamil Nadu and Kerala (at minimum) have prioritized education / literacy. Better outcomes when the general populace is invested in.
