As an Apple user for many years I don’t feel that they are in any position to “take over” seeing that much of their tech in the past few years has been things already mass produced by other providers. I feel that Apple and Samsung are the leading tech giants when it comes to mobile devices and in recent years they are starting to look and feel the same.
especially taking into account that they share suppliers and produce many parts in the same facilities to gain economy of scale
I have never used / owned an Apple product. While I'm sure they are fine, I never liked the cult of personality around Steve Jobs. Don't know if they are taking over when Samsung has a larger global market share for mobile phones. Time will tell, I guess. Hope the conference was interesting.
Definitely agree with the Steve Jobs part but I love Apple products. My life is so much easier with them

Do you have a reason to hate it?
i ignore any Apple products, dont like the brand at all
US-centric marketing, narcissistic/abusive boss (S.Jobs), products r not superior at all, just marketing
Apple used to be innovators but now their products feel “safer” - they tend to follow the market instead of creating new innovations.
I’ve heard Steve Jobs was horrible to work for but he knew how to bring together a team that created fresh ideas and he supported that innovation.
I hate that Apple products can only be fixed by Apple techs. Back in the day, I had an old school Samsung that I could replace the battery on myself and it was 1/3 the price of replacing the Apple batteries back then.
I have an Apple phone and I’ll likely stick with it for now but I wouldn’t say in June 2024 that they’re taking over or reinventing anything.
Just holding on with my iPhone X and looking forward to getting a Google Pixel as my next phone!! Love my Dell laptop and really the only product I like is the iPad but I can get a better tablet from Samsung.
The Apple reign is over in my family’s home we’re all switching our products. ✌️
Apple taking over what?
- Labor exploitation in the Congo & China?
- Being the DJ Khalid of Samsung & Huwawei releases?
- Unauthorized consumer data mining in partnership with Meta?
- Price bloating the exact same products in New packaging 🤣?
I have owned most tech hardware from Nokias to iPhones, my purchasing decisions are driven by functionality, durability, cost, and the extent the product can be integrated into every aspect of my life...and I am consistently underwhelmed by Apple in every iteration.
The major differentiators that once were Apple's competitive advantage don't cut it anymore...Cameras on phones, processors in laptops/desktops, cross device connectivity, value per dollar....a thing of yesteryear😒
The ProVision is...cute...but in the current marketplace; economically unrealistic for the majority of their existing consumer base.
After SJobs passed, Tim turned Apple into a standard corporate glutton, and true innovation appears to be an afterthought atp.
If you like Apple products cause they work well for you, that is great. But they aren't taking over anything; they are just really good at marketing and being the loudest person in the product crowd, not the best.
