Try narrowing your search to companies in your target city and connect directly on LinkedIn - reach out to people who work there or recruiters. Also, update your resume location to the new city to avoid getting filtered out. Networking really is key when relocating!
I’m not sure about this particular field, but in my field as an engineer now, most work is project based. Therefore, even working for one company I’m either out of town, or the other 50% I work from home by nature of the work. Definitely networking and reaching out to individuals via LinkedIn! Also update your location preference on any open to work settings.
