Why are people so hesitant to hire disabled candidates?

I am a visually impaired practitioner in South Africa, with 7 years of experience, and as soon as recruiters or business owners hear/read that I'm disabled, the conversation gets awkward and I never hear from them again.

Anyone able to offer insights on Talent Management salary range these days? Entertainment roles have traditionally paid much less than other industries but wondering if post-covid world has changed this.

For anyone who receives a quarterly bonus or raise in some form, does your employer start to schedule you for less hours when your raise kicks in, or pull you from a future schedule entirely once you receive a bonus; only to put you back on once the hours you would have worked and earned the amount given are passed? Ie; a part time employee getting $200.00 in a quarterly bonus and then not being scheduled a whole week during a bi-weekly pay period where they would have earned more on the clock…?

Just found out my wife’s uncle had a heart attack and they had to take him to 4 hospitals to get treatment.... the 1st 2 wouldn’t admit him cause they said how do we know if has covid or not... the 3rd one said we can’t admit him cause he didn’t come in our ambulance ... I have 5 years in insurance sales experience, how can I break into tech industry through customer Success?

I am starting a 4-months internship at a company B in January. However, I just heard from a company T that they will interview me for their full time position.

Company T is paying me way more (twice) than Company B. And I like company T more. However, they want me to start working in February if I get this position. If I end up getting the offer, I will have to quit my internship at Company B, almost immediately after I begin the internship.
