Hi everyone, I had a major surgery and am looking to find a remote position involving anything that isn’t 100% commission based or cold calling/agent positions. I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?

I hold an offer of 18LPA from KPMG with joining date of 7th September. (Wfh)
I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.
