I think having good knowledge of stats is gonna be key for actually winning - esp if you don't really know much about the game itself. I think the research aspect and being picky about who you choose will do you way better vs the 'gut feel' people
Unfortunately I think the best tool is just knowing the game. I played for 12 years and know the game in and out and I always win leagues with ease.
I say look at stats and teams as a whole. Listen to some podcasts and watch the games that you can. Normally if a team is bad most of the time you try not to get players from them.
Uggh! I wanted something more straightforward than being attached to the computer and news. But it seems like the only way to do it is to have another FT job as a FF analyst.
After playing for 10 years, I don’t believe in research tools. I used to use trade analyzer tools and stuff like that but I realized you just gotta be super up to date with league news (which SleeperBot is great for) and know what affects a position’s productions and make your best guess. Don’t let anyone tell you they’re a fantasy expert, it’s 33% knowledge, 33% matchups, and 34% luck.
Thanks! It seems like I need to watch more news! I agree with that. Some stats are sometimes just numbers and won't reflect the player's actual performance.

I use the fantasy pros app; highly recommend their My Playbook app
Visual Storyteller
The app is free but has a premium version and the podcast is free as well. For reference, the “pros” recommended I play Njoku over Taysom and PHI def over NYG and it almost cost me the championship. It’s also just dumb luck or gut feeling sometimes
I’m going to break with the advice above and say being informed is overrated. Tons of people spend hours of their lives on this and have little to show for it because part of it is truly luck.
Projections aren’t promises, but when I was first learning that’s what I lived by. Then, before waivers each week I’d sort by trending pickups and click on the headlines next to the player profile on the fantasy app itself. I also follow quite a few analysts on twitter so I see hype when someone is on the rise and have the injury reports pushed to phone so if someone goes down I can grab their backup (whether it’s my guy who goes down or not).
Thanks for your advice! I need to follow more people on Twitter and get their advice. I'm still going to try to be informed as much as possible.
I use 4for4 for weekly waiver list, player rankings, wr vs db matchup, etc. Check cbs sports for a better view into offensive position (qb,rb,wr,te) fantasy points vs defenses.
Thanks! I need to start analyzing some software. A lot of suggestions in the thread. I hope they are not too costly.
Bro. Definitely it's fantasydraftcoach(.)com. It has not failed me once! hope this helps
I hope that software gives me the trophy this year! Thanks for the recommendation!
