I asked WNT this morning. They only have pressers. Word on the Hill from them is the staff of both the Dems and GOP are still writing/reviewing the text of the bill based upon what was agreed too over the weekend. There was thought that text would be released by the House by this morning at 8AM when they meet but House Debate hasn’t started yet so the presumption is the bill isn’t ready.

They even mentioned that Washington might need to pass another 1-2-day CR to avoid a government shutdown while the final text comes together early this week.

When the IRS (e.g., a RO/AO/Examiner) calls or writes a letter… How do you verify that it’s really the IRS and not a scam? I’m new to tax law and I’m worried that I’m going to respond to/answer a scam and give away client info (or my own tax preparer info). I don’t think my worry is unfounded due to the tremendous amount of tax/IRS scam out there but it would be nice to hear from some of y’all so that I’m not so worried about it…
