Did you get Lead AI Engineer offer in Core BCG X in Singapore? We didn’t extend any offer in the last 2 months, but we are seeking applications for Lead X AI Engg (3-4 positions) and screening now.
It is quite intense and the ramp up is hard at Project Leader or Principal levels as mentioned above.
Every project is different and there is no guarantee that you will be able to hit the gym. Furthermore, as lead you are the one shaping hours for the team yourself. But you can also expect that from everyone in the working team you will be the one to work the most.
I’ll be honest. WLB in APAC and specifically Singapore is not great. It is stressful. But you can usually find time for the gym.
More generally, starting at Lead level at BCG is notoriously difficult. Every Lead who has been here as a junior for a few years has an advantage in terms of getting staffed on good projects and knowing how to perform in a high pressure role. Lead is generally considered the hardest job at the firm, because you have to the manage the juniors on execution while also managing the senior partners and clients who want to pull the project in all sorts of directions. Teams here have an hourglass shape and the Lead is the neck of the hourglass. I can’t imagine doing the job without having a few years to learn the ropes and find my people.
