Big Pharma in the US hasn’t been a source of innovation for a couple of years now. Most firms have become BD/commercialization shops, focusing on sourcing innovation externally and growing inorganically. I still think there’s a very strong US pipeline to tap into coming out of Boston and other centers, but it’s hard to deny more and more fallow is coming out of China.

Agree, it's all who gets to do the M&A more than actual innovation. A colleague who has seen the drug development in and out more decades than I have often says it's a cycle. We keep repeating the same cycle, and next coming in will be more focus on in house drug development back again.
Who’s to say the tech will always be for sale?
There’s probably only so long the USA can antagonize the PRC before we find ourselves both behind and cut out.
