Curious, because I've never worked in audit nor have I so much as peeked at my AUD book yet...

Nearly every job listing has a line that talks about "assist with annual audits". What does that actually mean? It says to ensure proper documentation for audit periods.

So...literally making sure (throughout the year) that all supports are in their proper folders and workpapers filled out? Is it just that? Be tidy and know where to pull what files from and ASAP?

As someone who worked in audit, yeah that pretty much sums it up, when the audit team is testing an account they’d want the support documents that arrives at the balance, the probably some samples like invoices for AP/AR. You’d need to know where to pull those numbers from and would be super helpful if you know the ins and outs on how do we arrive at the numbers and the processes

Ahh gotcha. I'm someone who has folders and subfolders and subsubfolders and nearly always downloads any and all supports as soon as anything is being booked. It's always seem on job postings so I thought it was something big that I haven't learned yet.

Okay. As long as I keep things organized and know where to pull data if it's not in the folders. That clears it up. Thanks!

That's basically all it is. So you can pull every file they ask for and having documentation to back up any adjustments or anything out of the ordinary.

1. You are calling all the employees in the office & just providing lunch? That's all for completing 150 years?
2. You would ask questions, and whoever is able to answer it, you will give some merchandise only to them?, And the other people are not your employees?
Why are you even organizing it? You think people would come from far places just for lunch?

One of my best friends growing up just passed away. We lost contact with each other a year or two after graduating high school and I recently came to learn he was was battling cancer the past 5 years and ultimately succumbed to the illness. He hid it well from everyone and led a very private life during it all. To make matters worse, he had just turned 25. Seeing pictures of the condition he was in towards the end of his fight broke my heart. I wish I had known so I could’ve been there for him.
