Do you have a lot of health problems? Saving through an HSA and high deductible plans in general make a ton of sense in a lot of cases.

I think you’d be surprised at the premium difference for the plans right out of the bat.

like

What are the monthly premiums for one plan vs another?

KPMG does. Want a referral?

EY does

Physical therapy and doctor appointment visits prolly were over 20 for me this year

... RSM does...

Oh wow - you are right! PPO was an option when I was considering options but I've had HSA for a long time now so hadn't realized it went away.

I am embarking on egg freezing soon and I got some unpleasant news today after a scan. I had a scan 2 months ago and my follicle count was slightly low then. As I was on birth control at the time, I had to go off it and repeat the scan two months later. In the 2nd scan we found that I only had 6 follicles and that we would only be able to get 4-6 eggs per cycle. I am 36 and I decided to start this process now more just as backup. I have never dreamt of being a mother and yet this news has (cont)

I have been working in healthcare clinics and health techs for a few years now. I’m an independent consultant. Bust, a friend of mine referred me to a big bank job. The role is of data governance manager. What should I know for the interview, or how can I prepare for it? Any thoughts? They told me I don’t need financial background. Data is data, but they wanted to know metadata management and how do I build frameworks/implement enterprise systems.

My body hurts, my stomach is in knots, my head hurts. How is it that I have to mend a broken heart but also meet my billable hours lmao

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.

I’ve been at my company for 10+ years. I’m not happy with the culture but have flexibility I enjoy, seniority for the time I’ve been here, and pays well. An new job opportunity came up as a Tax Manager but in a different industry which could expand my skillset in different ways, but is not as flexible and the pay is 20k lower. If I stay, I will be Director in few years. What will look better on a resume in the future, continued growth in 1 company or experience in more than 1 company?
