Curious for opinions on job searching: how long do you have to work in a grade after being promoted to it until you’re externally marketable as that grade?

Please. If you’re moving around it doesn’t matter. You are selling your labor. If you can convince a new employer you are worthy of a certain comp and were performing at a certain title, it shouldn’t matter. I personally wouldn’t be looking to make lateral moves between companies but use it as a way to accelerate your career
