Feeling sick. Not sure if covid or exhaustion or both. But it's busy season and I've got deadlines next week so I don't feel comfortable taking time off to rest. I feel trapped and miserable.

I did a quick estimation and there’s a possibility that the egg retrieval day might be in the end of my client project. The difficulty is that you don’t know which day it is until maybe 2or3 days ahead. How do you guys handle this last-minute PTO day? Taking the whole week off doesn’t make sense either since it’s end the of project. Thank you!

My vacation turned into a staycation. Hubby's boss never told him that he was also going to be out this week even when hubby asked for the time off. They can't have the #1 and #2 at the company gone at the same time. No longer upset. Still sending kiddo to daycare. My house is clean. I'm exercising. I'm signed up for lesson for a new activity. I broke out my rigid heddle loom. I am meditating. This is awesome.

Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This is a payment question. freelance, 1099, corp-to-corp, etc. The creative agency insists that everyone has to be on payroll. Is this because it’s a creative role and not production? Anyone?

How many unqualified candidates are there for HSW? I.e. I’m interested what the ‘real’ competition and admission rates are after adjusting for candidates with a realistic chance of getting in. Assuming 50% of all applicants have no realistic chance, then admission rates would be closer to 20-40% than 10-20% among solid candidates.
