Not very valuable imo, especially if your first job wasn't just a short few month stint. I have my degree, which is a check box for a lot of firms, but my work experience and what I can do is the crucial part.
I think for most it’s a non factor if it’s not a big name, but big schools/name brands can help. For me, it’s been a great convo starter and foot in the door. I went to GT and spend lots of time at southeast clients so it works. < 5 years out. Tons of jobs ops. Why I chose GT in the first place.
It doesn’t matter if you studied to be an electrician, once you’re in, you’re in.
It’s just one part of the background / experience you bring to the table.

After about 2-4 years of experience, the degree becomes a non-factor unless you went to an Ivy or other impressive brand name school; even than the school is just one small flag of "validation" you're not an idiot.
