Curious to know what time you finish work on average/how long your working day is?

9-9 or 9-10 Mon - Thurs, 9-5 Friday. Plenty of flex in that but it feels about right for average.

In Aussie corporate strategy, it’s typically around 5-6 pm to leave and stop work. Unless it’s a corporate plan deadline and then it’s closer to midnight (sometimes at the office and sometimes at home) — but employees do get to take those extra hours off at a later date since employment contracts state 40 hours per week.

The hired consultants pick up the extra hours to keep things moving at pace.

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
