Debating between the Tudor black bay 58 in blue vs the Omega seamaster diver 300m in black... any thoughts/advice? It’s my first luxury watch purchase

My husband has this and loves it. Get the Tudor first and get the omega on the PX website (you can access via a friend who is a veteran) tax free and 2-3k under msrp for Black Friday

Again, the right answer is, try them both on and see which one feels right (or speaks to you)
Personally, I’d go the Tudor.
The sea master is a beautiful watch but is much too big at 42. Also, as gorgeous as it is overall, a couple of things bother me. The escape valve on the left is much too big and the steel bracelet is just ugly IMO.
The Tudor is clean, the movement is beautiful, and is overall a very versatile watch. I honestly can’t pick any design flaws if I wanted to....Tudor being a Rolex wannabe is just such s*** - they have a very rich history, and BB58 is a gorgeous watch.
If you plan on buying a sub in the future, maybe you’ll want an omega? Either way though, you are picking between winners

I think a black dial dress watch with a medium dark brown croco strap is 👌. I like this cognac tan with the BB58 for the nice blend with the rose gold accents.

Omega. For me Tudor is a not-a-Rolex at best.

No GS is cool

I think they are very different watches. Tudor have some lovely watches (the the BB has seriously legit military heritage).

But the Omega is also an icon. Weirdly, both of these watches are the non-standard colour. The Omega is better in blue and Tudor better in black.

like

Funny enough I’m of the “opposite” thought, the SMP looks best to me in the black and the BB58 in the blue. Not just in pictures but in person too. Maybe I would like the black BB58 more if it didn’t have the gold (gilt?) accents and the white markers were more, white. But that’s just me

Not sure if you’ve already decided but this post was at the top of my In Case You Missed It... feed, and I can emphatically tell you to get the Seamaster. I agree with A1 that Tudor is not-a-Rolex and that’s a stigma I can’t shake. I’ve tried both and you can see which one I took home. The price on these is great (ask for a 25% discount, expect 20%) and it’s just so much quality and it looks stunning in-person, a certain “sharpness” to it that doesn’t come across in pictures. Can not recommend highly enough. Also will add it wears smaller than its 42mm measurement suggests. I thought it would be too big for me until I went and tried it in person

Yeah, this is a difficult one. I'd try and think about your personal style and whether you skew more to the modern and sporty (Seamaster) or toned down and classic (Bb58).

Also, how much do you value versatility? I'd argue the Tudor is more versatile (the blue, while sporty, is quite discreet), whereas the seamaster would be more difficult to wear with a suit for instance

like

Agree with this, the BB58 feels more versatile/cleaner than the seamaster. I also prefer the bb58 in black, but both are nice. Find an AD and try both on to see what you like better.

Also take in consideration wrist size since the 39mm vs 42 mm sizes.

Both a great watches. I personally like black bb58 or the blue or white face SMP300

like

I had a decision like this recently

Ultimately, it came down to this- the Seamaster fan be worn casually but still will look great with a suit, the black bay not so much

Ultimately, I picked the seamaster as the more versatile option

like

I disagree with sa2 as well - the Tudor wears significantly better than the sea master with a suit, and is also the more versatile option of the two imo

I am on my second Omega but I was never a fan of the Seamster. Personally, I like the Seamster Planet Ocean series. However, between the Seamster and Black Bay, I'd choose the Black Bay. It is classier looking and can be worn formally and casually, whereas the Seamster is more on the casual/sporty side.

Hi fishes,

I have the following 2 offers..

Cognizant- 21L fixed and 1.5L variable
PWC - 22L fixed

This is for a guidewire role.
Which is a better offer? What would be a good option for growth wrt role, salary etc.
Also, PWC claims to offer variable based on their fixed CTC based on the ratings.. is this true ? How much is the avg percentage given?

Thanks in advance!
