Did anyone else’s back-to-school plan not include music at all? I’ve been told I’m still supposed to teach music this year, but they haven’t announced any plans for it yet. You’d think the classes that contain the most students per day would be a higher concern 🙃

I have a non-stem bachelors and had to do a Masters in Data Analytics to become a “data scientist” and have had the title for about 2 years now. However, the work I’m doing isn’t very interesting and is mostly dash-boarding/extracting basic insights from data, and I still feel like I’m limited so am seriously considering a software engineering boot camp to be able to jump into big tech and work on interesting stuff. Im currently working in an amazon delivery station as a shift manager - I'm wondering if certificates such as becoming a cloud practitioner or a salesforce administrator would put me in a good position to land an AWS business development role?

Are these certificates valued in the BDR world?

I’m convinced that the reason some of these firms are so prestigious is because they have intentionally exclusionary recruitment practices. I used to believe that you had to already be rich to get hired at MBB. Now being on the other side of the recruitment process , I really do feel that it rings true. I hate the way we evaluate candidates and decide on who is “high priority” during coffee chats.

Hi! Can someone recommend a source for learning how do simple, fun music lessons on Zoom? I teach first grade and use music for my transitions. I would also like to play songs for them with my guitar, but am concerned it won’t sound good on zoom (the guitar, not my voice, which is bad, we established that long ago)

What are some of your favortie end of year activities?

Just heard that my district will have classroom and live-recording learning. I’m thankful because I now can feed my family, my newborn and a recent-sponsored wife! I’m scared because I’m almost 50 and I’m afraid I might catch the virus and die leaving behind my 1 month baby and a wife who is not legal in the state yet! The USCIS or Trump’s dept. thinks she’s not good enough to be in the US!! We applied for green card and SS card since August 2019!
