A large PE firm (it'd make the list of household names if there are household names in PE) reached out to me for a data science role. It's early in the process so no firm comp figures but base is 100-200k for the role and TC is 150-250k, for 2-5 YOE (I have 3 plus an MS).

Is this worth considering? It's significantly more than I make and I'm intrigued by the prestige. But I don't want to shoot myself in the foot by going to back-office role at a firm that's behind techwise.
