Hi! Can someone recommend a source for learning how do simple, fun music lessons on Zoom? I teach first grade and use music for my transitions. I would also like to play songs for them with my guitar, but am concerned it won’t sound good on zoom (the guitar, not my voice, which is bad, we established that long ago)

Is it justifiable to ask for a raise after 7-months? Especially if you’re the only designer on some of their biggest clients, carrying slack from seniors + producing quality work in no time?

I’m sure there will be a payment app to join too. 😬😬😬 can I bill a whole extra day for this torment?

Why the heck do Recruiters and Hiring managers do such a poor job keeping applicants informed to the status. I had my time wasted with an opportunity for a fortune 100 position for 3 1/2 months. Phone Screens, Zoom Interview with hiring manager, Face to face with hiring manager. (Then asked for professional references) , impromptu Zoom meet with other leader who was completely disengaged. Then boom... six weeks of silence vague texts from hiring manager they were still going thru the process..

Anyone have good lessons on disease spread, kind of like the cdc zombie appocolipse scenario?

I use to enjoy pulling together lessons using a variety of resources, and not using textbooks or ready made curriculum. I just used the standards. These days, I’m finding that my online students find a set curriculum easier to navigate. I’m finding it easier to keep organized online. Anyone else having a similar experience?

I have a boss who is nice but I find has a habit of denigrating me in front of other colleagues. I finally gave him a piece of my mind... but over slack (we’re long distance). Scared but glad its out.

Weird idea. Is there a way we could set up like a virtual work room? Like one where we're logged onto something like skype/messenger/Google meet/zoom/ZooRoom/Discord or something where we can all be working at night time, but at least not alone. It would mostly be silent, but misery loves company? I legit hate working alone for the whole day and then into the evening too.

Who successfully avoids turning on their Zoom video for most meetings? I always use the excuse of weak internet connection, and it usually works 🤔😏
