Do employers look at your shoes before hiring you?

Good quality shoes are expensive and they could leave a lasting impression but I can’t help thinking that its a waste of money. I don’t think interviewers really look at your shoes. They just focus on the most visible and prominent features that you present during the interview.

Am I wrong to think this way?

Two company A&B gave more or less package X+3 Lakh.

Can we still negotiate with company A Or B to get top up from X+3 to make a clear decision to choose over one other.

A warning, i have been phished through the premise of a job interview.thats definitely a new low from scammers but verify interviews they plucked my info from indeed and through that got my info, when I got suspicious (after it was too late) I called the "hiring company" (was a real company) and they said i wasn't the only one getting duped.
