Do our students need a student version of CalOSHA to provide them a quality learning environment?

Is applying a few days before the “Apply by” date too late? Do most decisions get made early on/they don’t wait for all applications before interviewing/hiring?

It's great to have this bowl. I am astonished at the replies to conservative posts in the general bowls are. I don't mind sharing and having discussions, but not fun when the others are attacking and not communicating!

How do you all feel about the LGBTQ+ curriculum? Is there even curriculum or is it just teachers wanting to go beyond teaching NGSS standards?

Listening to NPR today, heard that President Biden administration is proposing a new flow of $$$$ to states and school districts to insert a CRT inquiry into their ethnic studies curriculum K-12.
US DOE used same tactic when pushing adoption of the Common Core curriculum.
Bill is being written in Senate now, hoping to pass before the summer recess.

I work in Florida where the Parental Rights law concerning gender theory and sexuality in k-3 is currently being labeled the "Don't Say Gay Bill". I find it crazy that so many of my liberal coworkers, even in the social studies department haven't even read the bill and are just buying the low wholesale. I agree that we should leave those choices up to the parents. Do you guys have similar things happening where you're at?
