“Reflecting on and adopting the use of micro-affirmations would be a positive strategy to prevent microaggressions. Micro-affirmations are small acts that foster inclusion, listening, comfort and support for people who may feel isolated or invisible in their environment. Not right now. Of course, our legislature would never dream of even hosting such a bill. The idea that gender choice belongs in Kindergarten is well accepted here. It absolutely disgusts me.
“ditto” California urban hypocrites doing what’s “right” for the unwashed masses ....🙄🤭🥱🥴🤐🤧🤧🤮
The state policies support teaching it in K-3 and on, but I have heard so many teacher in elementary say they will NOT teach it, and neither will I. It has no place in school, especially in elementary.
Those of us who are conservative want high academic standards and do not pander to particular groups or promote anyone’s agenda. We want to educate, not indoctrinate. I’m seeing a HUGE increase in mental illness (of both students and young faculty) that seems to be brought on by too much media influence and activist groups within and outside our district. There are some teachers who are actively promoting an anti-American, socialist agenda, wrapped in a flag of diversity, equity, and inclusion. People will say that’s a FOX TV lie, but I have seen it in the sample lessons and curriculum, as well as in trainings. Meanwhile, we have argued that they are the ones who are the racists because they think white liberals should be speaking for minorities! Let people speak for themselves. Meanwhile, they dumbed down the curriculum. Is that doing anyone in society any good?
