Do you all go through the whole workday without eating or do you pause for lunch breaks? I feel like my flow gets super disrupted after I eat so I just eat one big meal after 5 pm.

I drink my coffee in the morning then just a sandwich I made at home for lunch. I have to eat during breaks because I can't function that well without food to fuel me up.

I can't get through the workday without something, but I don't usually have an opportunity for a long lunch break. So I bring a couple of protein-packed snacks to eat at my desk -- granola bars, yogurt with fruit, and half a sandwich. Then, I look forward to a calm, quiet, home-cooked dinner.

I eat when I'm hungry enough that it's distracting. I don't have breakfast, which is on purpose to get me to be hungry at lunch time 😅 I also usually have enough natural breaks in my work that I can go "okay, I'm not making progress right this second, I can go have lunch".

This is what I need in my life!

I'm a grazer. I just snack throughout the day, but take more time for breakfast and dinner.

I usually eat a pretty loaded breakfast. For lunch, I only have coffee and a sandwich. I am not a snacker so my next meal is for dinner.

I often go through the workday without eating. I dont do it intentionally, I just get to working and forget to eat honestly. So I too do the one big meal usually

I could never sit through a whole day of just working. I need to reset every few hours by eating lunch or to go get coffee. I think break time makes me a lot more productive than just powering through the day with just work.

some days, yes...most days I try to go for a quick 15 min walk or something. I generally just skip lunch and use the hour to like, decompress or something

I eat throughout the day. Always take a nice lunch break. If it’s a problem (never ran into that) I’ll go find another job unless it FAANG and I have shares vesting. Gotta take care of myself and eating well is part of that.

I don't know if that's healthy, but I would think that is detrimental to your health in the long run. Why not take a quick snack instead?

Will vs Trust:

Which do you use (if any estate planning) and why? Recently talked with a layer on getting a will and they are trying to steer me to a trust.

Demographics for ref: 30, live in GA, unmarried, no kids, no real estate (yet, planning to buy after market cools). I don’t envision I’ll amass a ton of physical assets over my life so really just need to say where my various $ accts go (401k, pension, IRA, etc)

Trust cost was $2,900. Didn’t give price for will.
