It's rare that I do. Sometimes it does smell really good though. We have a nacho bar sometimes and I love to get some of that.

Every now and then, we have a potato bar. A lot of teachers eat school lunch on that day
Yes I usually do. The entrees and sides are usually fairly bland and nothing to really brag about, but this lunchroom produces the best homemade rolls you ever put in your mouth. The crew also makes their own ketchup. The school district could probably make a ton of money if it could commercially produce those rolls and ketchup. Sometimes I just get a double helping of rolls and a nice portion of ketchup and just eat that. When I know the rolls are on the menu, I will bring a few individual pats of butter.
The rolls in Houston when I was a student I swear were injected with butter. They were amazing!
The way my kids use the restroom after lunch… no thanks! 😆

Oh, my! This could explain so much! Kids are always having to "go". The typically rule from admin is "only emergency bathroom trips." My students know that they lose their end-of-class game time if they have to "go" or are tardy to class. If they are willing to sacrifice that time, I let them go.
I do sometimes, especially if it's the Fiesta chicken and Spanish rice. The meatballs and broccoli 🥦 is good too.

I have one coworker who always eats when they have taco salad. I had it once, and it was pretty good
In 15 years I have never eaten school food.
I love school pizza and meatloaf! Our cafeteria workers a Hispanic and they know how to make lunch’s yummy!
Pro
When they have the little rectangle-shaped pizza, it always reminds me of the pizza when I was in school and when I taught at a private school. I guarantee you, it probably doesn't taste the same.
Not really. Some of the stuff does look somewhat interesting on rare occasions but I have quite a few dietary restrictions so it's better for me to just bring my own food so I can be sure that I'll be able to eat it. Plus, I'm not a bad cook at all so the stuff I bring is yummy enough for me to not consider other options.
Not if I can help it. When I was pregnant with my first child, I could send a student to the cafeteria and they would send me a tray of food. Now that I have a clearer idea of what the lunch entails, I try to have a Plan B!
The Students “Love” when they serveBreakfast for Lunch!!! Their heads are down and not one of them is talking!!!
When I asked a student what they thought about lunch that day I got a “Thumbs up” and a 10+
I bring my lunch every day to maintain my A1C
Cheese pizza, mac and cheese, grilled cheese and chicken tenders are really good at my school. I look forward to those days so I don't have to worry about bringing a lunch.
