I'm a cashier, so it's 8 hours of pretty much the same thing every day. On the plus side, people are weird and that provides enough variety to keep me entertained most of the time. It can be pretty mind numbing though, but I just remind myself that I am at work to get paid and not for fun.

I have worked as a cashier and it felt exhausting to do the same thing for 8 hours. But you are right, we have to remind ourselves that we are there to work not for fun.
I have to fill out my share of paperwork and sometimes it can feel like I'm just spinning my wheels. The forms are the same every month, and even if the numbers change and some items change, it just feels like I'm stuck in a loop. I just tell myself that if I concentrate on the boring stuff for the next half hour, or next hour, I can stop for a break. It sounds silly to say it, but it just helps those boring stretches go by.

That is really monotonous. And like you said breaks make it little bit go faster. But your brain starts spinning when you try to focus.

I have ADHD and I get bored very easily when I having repeated daily tasks. I used to be a cashier for a clothing store and I would get so bored but I ended up leaving to my current job right now and it’s not boring at all. I manage about 20 stores and every week it’s something different which I love. I’m constantly moving around.

I am glad you constantly move and like your job because it has variety. I wish I had something like this.

I can understand that. Watching the clock seems to make time slow down. Maybe you should try doing something else while you work like play games on your phone or read or watch some shows.

I scroll my phone all the time but I hate when I do it because it increases my screentime and effects my eyes too.
