I definitely understand where and how you are feeling because I been questioning myself and what career would really make me feel whole again.
I am glad someone felt the same :)
There are certainly times when I'll start to feel like I'm just going through the motions. Or it starts to seem like a weird sense of deja vu, that I'm just doing things I've done before. But I've gotten used to those moods and I know they'll pass. There's always some point where something comes along and I feel energized and interested again. I just have to have faith in keeping myself motivated during those times when motivation seems hard to come by.
I appreciate your perspective. It’s great to know those phases are normal and that they eventually pass. I like the idea of having faith that something will come along to reignite that sense of energy and interest.
I feel that way and found it's helpful to find sources of joy outside of your day to day. If it's truly the job, you'll find a way to move to something new. For me, it's almost always seasonal too - by Spring each year I feel like I need to move to a new company or job.
It made me chuckle, thinking about that seasonal itch to switch jobs. Last year around this time, I was seriously considering relocating to a new city and starting a different job. It’s funny how these thoughts seem to resurface with the changing seasons.
