It sounds like you have 2 problems here: numbers are often wrong across your team and someone is not great at offering/accepting feedback. Fix the issue causing inconsistencies in your team’s work and talk to the “uhm actually…” team member privately.

I get what you’re saying, though I feel like addressing those issues is more in my boss’s lane than mine.
I just do my best to never be wrong, lol. But really, I try to let things go. There's no point in having tension just to one-up somebody else.

YES. I have several coworkers like this and it drives me INSANE. I always tell them worry about your own work, not what I am doing.

If they’re not my direct report I’d just make sure I always have our interactions documented to cover my own butt. Get everything in writing. If it takes place in person, send them an email afterward summarizing the convo.
