Do you have summer Fridays at your job? If so what are the rules where you work? At my agency, I have to get 40 hours before I take the half day on Friday

We do summer Fridays in July and August. Some departments will want one person to stay and deal with phones or anything that may happen. But I gather nothing happens. It's just a traditional thing, I think the people running the agency would think it looks tacky to be working on a Friday afternoon in high summer.

Interesting. So you don’t have to get the 40 hours before Friday? Is this a smaller shop you work at?

Nope, but a bunch of my friends do. I'm so jealous of everyone who has this perk. Leaving at noon on Friday sounds so nice. Get those 40 hours in and make the most of it for me!

I was about to complain about having to get 40 hours before Friday but I should probably be grateful that I even have this perk. I’ll do my best to enjoy it for the both of us!

Same—40 hours then off if you can (1 on Friday). Although never really equitable since some can take and others never get to because it always feels like ‘launch summer’.

Sometimes taking off is a lot more stressful then staying at work during launch summer.

Once a month we get food truck Fridays. However, it’s not as exciting as it sounds. The company will arrange for a food truck to show up, but we have to pay for out-of-pocket.

Four, to use between April and the end of August. 32 hours worked that week and 8 hours submitted as Summer Friday on my timesheet.

Ok, after an HR screening (and salary requirements) I had 3 interviews. Then HR calls for references and to be “reminded” of salary requirements. All 3 references now contacted. Will I get an offer?

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..
