Do you think it’s a good or bad idea to copy the job description into Chat GPT and then ask it to create (and rework/rewrite) things into succinct bullet points for you to utilize (likely in your most recent role).

My thoughts are that your resume would then be very succesful with what the ATS is searching to match? I’ve been trying this for the past 4 weeks. Hasn’t gotten me anywhere any faster. Only thing that seems to work is knowing somebody.

Depends on how much work the recruiter wants to do. If you’re trying to use it as a “cheat code” to pass ATS you’re still going to end up having a human look at it. Just make sure you don’t sound like a robot (especially if you’re a creative)

I believe both are important. Knowing someone is key but you will most likely still need to submit a resume into the system once your contact refers you. Having your resume ready to pass ATS can't hurt.
