Definitely, I don't see how it's any different than Christmas. Why do you get holiday pay for one and not the other?

No idea. Idk if it was a way of cutting costs or what but it feels icky the more I think about it.
Yeah exactly, if Christmas is honored as a federal holiday, i don't see why Easter wouldn't. It's a religious holiday in nature but so are some of the other holidays we honor. Working holidays with no extra pay seems problematic to me, especially when it used to be acknowledged. I definitely think Easter should be considered, or at least companies should offer some kind of incentive if you’re expected to work it.

This 100 percent.
I wouldn't mind if Easter was a federal holiday. I'm not sure why it never happened. I've never had to work on Easter, just because I've never worked on Sunday. As Christmas could fall on a weekday maybe that made more sense to have it be declared an official holiday.
No, I mean it’s not a holiday holiday it’s a religious holiday and one that a large portion of the country doesn’t observe it’s a little surprising that Christmas is a federal holiday for that matter. I mean Easter or religious holidays shouldn’t be an automatic federal holiday. if you were gonna do that why not give all eight days of Hanukkah off or Ramadan you can’t just pick one religion to favor over the others
