Do you usually see candidates who come back with really off-the-chart counteroffers as competent people or as trouble? I took the leap of faith with someone who asked for a whole lot more than we were offering because I saw a lot of potential in them. It's hard to carry the pressure of taking a chance and having the rest of the team support your decision.

My friend just got out of a relationship and hooked up with his ex's best friend a week later. They're now dating and seeing each other everyday.
I couldn't help but feel like this wasn't an appropriate thing to do for both parties. He also revealed that he cheated on his past exes.

I'm naturally feeling a bit weary of his character and questioning whether this is a friend I want to keep close in my life. Perhaps I'm being too judgmental?

How long does it take for you all to commute to work normally? I am moving to Woking soon and am looking to land a consulting gig in London. It will take me 10-20 min to get to the train station, and from then on the train to Waterloo takes 30 mins. Not sure if that’s going to be too long a daily commute by UK standard?

Any suggestion on relatively cheap neighbourhood for a mid 20s couple in london? - - Preferably less than 30 mins commute to Green Park/ bloomsbury/ holborn area.
- Would prefer not to have to worry about being stabbed on the street.
- balcony or a garden would be nice
- dont care about schools etc, wont have kids for a while
