I've been wearing one for a year and honestly it's been a game changer. I had my apprehensions too but so far nothing has happened. Is it unnatural? Technically, yes but so are pacemakers, dental implants, or even earrings. Your fears aren’t silly but for most, the benefits (no more guessing, catching spikes early) outweigh the ick factor. It’s like wearing a smartwatch for your metabolism.
I tried one for a month through a company called "Levels". I wish I could still still have one (idk how well it's covered under insurance if from a medical perspective you don't "need" it, but it was around $400 out of pocket for a month for me.) But I think eveyone could benefit as you can see what foods spike glucose- and it's not what you think! My biggest spikes were from Costco chicken drumsticks- probably something they seasoned with did it, so I knew to avoid those going forward. I think the benefits are enormous, I hope it becomes normalized sooner than later.
