Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Yes, they do provide flexibility, but depends on project and RM. In my project nobody has been to office in the past 4 years as the odc is in Noida. And team is spread throughout India. So it's full WFH for us till now. Don't know if anything will change in the coming months

That is because of the contract signed with customer. Also, they have dedicated ODC set in that location.
That's true but when I have clearly told that I will not relocate. Even I said you can drop my candidature for this role.Still they are calling everyday and forcing to join that particular location.
I have not yet joined HCL but true colours are reflecting from the HR end.

To be complaint with 12 days in office, I visit the nearest office, seat in open seating spaces and come back.
