Good question—font still matters, just not in a “make it look fancy” way.
ATS systems mainly care about readability, so it’s best to stick with simple fonts like Arial or Calibri and keep the size around 10–12 pt.
The bigger thing is formatting—clean layout, standard headings, and no tables or graphics.
At the end of the day, a human is still reading it too, so clear and easy to skim always wins. You never know if the hiring manager will whip out a copy during your interview to reference.
Definitely matters. So does formatting and grammar. When you're sitting at that interview, your resume is in front of a person. It doesn't have to be a work of art but remember you're not the only candidate they're looking at. If yours clearly shows you don't care, they'll see it clear as day. Nobody wants to hire anyone for any position that does sloppy work because they thought they could get away with it.
