I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

I find a fraction of the meetings I'm in to be useful. Most of them just strike me as theater. They may have a purpose for some people, but I usually feel like I'm a spectator to some odd performance. I get that all the world's a stage, but most days I'd rather be doing actual work.

I wouldn’t use the term heavy but it sounds like you are just more senior now and don’t have to do the grunt work? Most people that’s a good thing? But I guess depends.

Meetings felt heavy once accountability replaced execution. Early on, meetings enabled work. Later, they became work. That shift usually happens when organisations grow faster than clarity.
