I have an offer to do some consulting for a company based out of the UK (I am in the US). The job would not go through a consulting company but would be directly with the company. I have not done any consulting before so I am not sure how it works, what I would need to set up (they mentioned that I would start a LLC and bill them directly, no idea how to do that), how to determine the tax implications of this, or what hourly rate I would expect. Can anyone offer advice?

I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). Capgemini has verbally promised me 9 LPA but the offer is yet to be released.
Deloitte India has not yet communicated any offer, neither verbal nor formal.

I am more inclined towards joining Deloitte India as it is a bigger position than Capgemini.
