Do i really need to be in the office? I’m in more of specialty group and considered to be a regional resource, only have a couple local engagements and likely won’t get more than that because there is not a lot of work for what i do around here. The leadership has been hinting at wanting everyone to be in the office at least a couple days. I’m okay going in when I’m working on local projects but when I’m not and all of my team is out of state what’s the point?

Last night I told my husband that I was thinking about getting my hair cut shorter - not short, but shorter - and wanted his opinion. He said “it’s your hair so it’s up to you.” While I appreciate his “your body, your choice” stance in theory, in practical terms, I wanted some actual thoughts by the person who sees my face every day on whether I should change my hair. I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

My wife surprised me last night for my 30th bday (which was last week) with a get together with my closest friends I have known since middle school. Most of them live out of state with kids and somehow it all worked out. Feeling really loved.
