Experiences with cord.co? Some of my (non-dev) friends have been raving about Cord. How have you found it? The concept of messaging potential employers rather than filling in a faceless application form seems quite novel, but (for me anyway) the result seems to be the same. Namely shouting into the void. All messages go unaknowledged.

What have your experiences been like?

The first I’ve heard of it. Interesting concept, but it seems like there are already numerous platforms that at least offer that, even if not solely based around connecting. Glad to hear your friends are at least having a good experience. I wonder if it’s because they are in a different field.

This is the first I’ve heard of it as well. Have you heard of people actually getting jobs from it, or just starting conversations?

Yes, I reviewed cord. I wonder if it is short for “coordinates?”
Anyway in this insane talent flooded tech economy, more than ever, most of us avoid those spammy engines.

Hello there. I have been interviewing with Okta and got through all 5 rounds of interviews. They say they want to offer me the job but there is a global freeze for all marketing roles at the company. They want to offer me a contractor role instead. Does anyone here know if that is the case? I haven't heard anything as they seem be on wellness week. Thanks for any guidance :)

I work mainly with react, TS, node, graphql, mongoose and mongoDB.
