Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. Take a month or two off working and use that time to plan thoughtfully on my next move. Would having that gap in my resume be an issue when I go back to the job market?

Trying to apply for another position at the same company but my boss told me explicitly that if they find out people on our team are looking for other jobs, they will stop giving that person raises, promotions, bonuses, & access to opportunities. I have spoken with the hiring manager for the new position and he just asked me if I have notified my current manager. Not sure how to navigate this tricky situation. I am a 5 year experienced developer and am applying for position as a developer in bank. I have cleared the assignment, interview and soft skills. I next have an offer interview scheduled but it’s with the IT chapter lead and the Manager instead of the recruiter. That feels bit weird and I feel they would talk me on a low salary because I am “not so experienced”. I did interview at another company earlier and they refused to pay the salary I asked for because I wasn’t senior enough. Any tips ?
