Exactly. This happens in my workplace, too. One person in particular is rude, passive-aggressive, and condescending toward others, but then turns around and makes a superficial gesture like bringing muffins to our weekly meeting and expects everyone to be her friend. It is frustrating.

That can be a tough one, generally speaking I think it's good to put things on the record. It may not change what has happened or what has been said, but it could affect the outcome of things going forward. But, if it will inflame a situation, sometimes it's like the old saying, discretion is the better part of valor.

Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Attended 5 rounds-- 1 coding, 2 technical, 1 managerial, 1 hr. Now after 2 months telling me I'm the selected one, but offering me just 20% hike and same grade

Any chance for negotiations? Any tips or guidance are appreciated. please help

Abused and isolated as a kid. I have terrible memory. Like I don’t really remember the past few months except in broad strokes and memories of my childhood are more non existent than existent.
