To add on, start believing that your life can be what you want. An instant thing you can do is to change your current narrative. Going willingly to a job is definitely a choice. When you own your choices, you will then find the freedom to make new ones if you want. It's an internal battle.

Honestly, I would look for a lateral move. I’m assuming you’ve got a supportive boss, that you’ve already had a discussion with about feeling stuck.

I’m in the process of trying to do exactly that because I missed out on a promotion and I’m bored to tears. I have been doing this job or something very similar for so long that there’s rarely something new to experience. To be clear I DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING. I’m just at a point where the new experiences in this role are going to be very few and far between. So I was telling my boss that I was looking to move somewhere else in the organization that I can still apply my knowledge, but do something completely different. That same day an opening popped up within the company and I applied. I’m moving right through the interview process. This job will potentially let me build something and get some supervisory experience which I lack. I also want to point out that was the only reason I didn’t get that promotion prior. I’m genuinely excited for this opportunity.

So get out there and look for that lateral move, or just make a move to another organization.

Alternatively, maybe consider picking up an MBA or MHA. Find a pet project you can work on to improve the organization or even just your job. Take charge of your life. The hardest part will be that first step.

Honestly I start looking to see what else is out there. I can't be stuck....I have to be growing and working towards something. If I a not then I will go nuts so I start looking to see what other roles are out there.

I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. You learn so much about innovation but seems like most health systems just want people to fall in line and just do what's always been done. I would take a pay cut to work for a system that's actually trying to do something disruptive in the Industry as opposed to just using buzz words in ppt.

Okay so, I find myself in a tough situation. Recently, my professional license became jeopardized. There’s many details that I rather not share publicly just incase, but trust me when I say that this was over a ridiculous complaint that wasn’t serious. I have an attorney involved working with me on an appeal, but I’m really nervous and feel that I morally made the right decisions in the situation that I faced. I was wondering: has anyone ever faced a situation like this? I need advice!
