Few questions about the recent buy-out news at Google - are folks reconsidering interviewing with Google / getting push back from recruiters? Does Google have any protection/grace period for new joiners against layoffs or is everyone subject to being cut irrespective of tenue? (assuming this buyout offer will follow layoffs)

Why do deals move at a breakneck pace all the time? I don’t understand the urgency put on this work for every single deal. Is it deliberate to avoid lengthy diligence / lots of questions? All these deadlines are arbitrary
