First substantial freelance project coming to a close. How do you keep track of necessary info for taxes (US based)? It’s a DBA business for now, and I will need to pay another solo for their help (web developer). Suggestions for staying organized but not going deep into software or hiring an accountant?

When non-ad ppl ask you what do you do? In terms of title; do you tell them “copywriter”? Or immediately assume they dont know and might confuse it with copyright infringement, and just end up telling them that you’re a writer or a creative director, and skip the hassle
