For those of you who’ve traded through a full-on bear market, how did you adjust your options strategies when things got rough? I wasn’t actively trading during 2020 or 2008, so I’m trying to prepare myself in case we hit something similar. Lately I’ve been thinking about loading up on protective puts or switching to more bearish setups like debit spreads or call credit spreads. But I’m not sure how aggressive to get without over-hedging. What was your experience trading options during a downturn, and what strategies helped you survive—or even thrive?
