Fresh grad on my team makes comments about me being 'old school' because I'm 35. I have 12 years of experience he doesn't have but somehow youth is valued over expertise. When did experience become a liability instead of an asset?

Good management sees an older employee with experience and a strong work ethic as that . Perhaps you're seen by the fresh grad as a potential threat and wants to play head games to get ahead anyway they can.

Exactly! Experience should be an asset, not a target. Sometimes it feels like some people think age = threat instead of value.

maybe they are cheaper to hire

Yeah, sadly sometimes experience is undervalued, and cost or trends get more attention than actual expertise.

Logistics is right. It's about money. I've seen a lot of stories about companies deeming experienced workers "too expensive" and using that as justification to either lay them off or not hire them.

Exactly, it’s frustrating how experience is seen as a cost rather than a value. Feels like expertise is underrated unless it comes cheap.

I’m not sure that their comments hold a lot of weight where you work. Some people are just irritating even on their best days.

Exactly! Experience doesn’t get the credit it deserves sometimes, but honestly, I know my value and what I bring to the team.

No 💩,im 55 have hella experience and cant get a job to save my life

I hear you! Years of know-how should be an asset, not a barrier.

Thoughts on potential business ideas or investment opportunities where I can live the life I deserve now and not in retirement? I’m always trying to think of potential business ideas and come up with nothing. As far as interests, it doesn’t matter what it is. As long as it makes money I’m interested.

Hi Everyone !!!

This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at
Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.

I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?

Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.
