I think the DEI department is making a difference, but I think it's not enough to offset the company culture. At the company I consult for they're still stuck in the "good ole days" and it's a pain in the ass.

Nope! I spend most of my time arguing with the people that hired me because I'm actively doing what they hired me to do instead of sitting back and doing paperwork like they hoped I would. I was a hire for show.

Anyone here currently work or have worked for @Gartner as an AE in Large Enterprise? I’ve had a couple of opportunities to interview over the past several years but have passed both times. Pay appears to be pretty solid from what I’ve been told and I’d eventually like to work a smaller book size and sell services instead of SaaS, as these are usually always in demand regardless of economic conditions.

I’m changing jobs on 8/1 but I’ve found myself on auto pilot at my current job, just trying to get through the days and not really being aware or present. I don’t wanna just wish away the next two weeks but at the same time I just do not care at all about my current work.

Kinda amazed how job market froze so quickly. I remember seeing B4 audit seniors getting into B4 FDD so easy till like 9 months ago. And then it was still easy to get into MM and now it's hard to get anywhere. You gotta seize the opportunity when you see it.

In offer letter it is written i need to pay back the joining bonus if i leave the company or get terminated within 1 year.
If i resign within 1 year (at 10th month) and my last working day falls after 1 year, counting 90days notice, do i still need to pay the joining bonus back?

My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
